The Role of Public Administration and Communication in the Digital Age Brought to the Agenda at OMU

A highly attended event titled “The Role of Public Administration and Communication in the Digital Age” was held at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in the Prof. Dr. Hasan Gül Conference Hall, with the participation of Samsun Deputy Governor Bilal Bozdemir.

During the event, the effects of digital transformation on public administration, the strategic position of communication in governance processes, and the evolving needs of public institutions were discussed in detail. Mr. Bozdemir emphasized the importance of making public services more effective, transparent, and accessible in an increasingly digital world. He also offered advice to students and highlighted the new opportunities and challenges faced by public administrators in the digital age.

The program fostered an interactive and productive conversation, with students’ questions being answered. The event, which focused on the competencies required for digital transformation in public administration and the importance of communication skills, was followed with great interest by the participants.

Organized in cooperation with the OMU Disinformation Prevention Community and Samsun ADEM, the program was attended by Prof. Dr. E. Muhsin Doğan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; Prof. Dr. Erhan Pancar, OMU Secretary General; Ebu Bekir Ayrancı, Samsun Regional Director of the Presidential Directorate of Communications; Rasim Aydın, Faculty Secretary of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences; along with academics and many students.

The event concluded with Dean Prof. Dr. Doğan presenting a sapling certificate to Samsun Deputy Governor Bilal Bozdemir in commemoration of the day.
